The biggest dinosaur in Europe was Turiasaurus (meaning “Turia lizard” – Turia is the Latin name of Teruel – a town in Aragon, eastern Spain). This dinosaur had 21 – 37 m (68.9 ft – 121.4 ft) in length and 30 – 40 tons (66,139 – 88,185 lb) in weight.

This sauropod dinosaur lived in the Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary (150 – 140 million years ago). It was the one of the largest dinosaurs discovered in the world.
