The largest snake ever discovered

The largest known snake is Titanoboa (Titanoboa cerrejonensis). It had 12 – 15 m (39 – 49 ft) in length, 1,000 – 1,140 kg (2,205 – 2,513 ft) in weight and about 1 m (3.2 ft) of diameter.

Titanoboa is the largest, longest, and heaviest snake ever discovered, which supplanted the previous record holder, Gigantophis. Titanoboa lived in the South America, approximately 60–58 million years ago, during the Paleocene epoch.
