The largest known snake is Titanoboa (Titanoboa cerrejonensis). It had 12 – 15 m (39 – 49 ft) in length, 1000 – 1140 kg (2205 – 2513 ft) in weight and around 1 m (3,2 ft) of diameter.

Titanoboa is the largest, longest, and heaviest snake ever discovered, which supplanted the previous record holder, Gigantophis. Titanoboa lived in the South America, approximately 60–58 million years ago, during the Paleocene epoch.
