The heaviest contemporary eagle is the Steller’s sea eagle (Haliaeetus pelagicus). It has 5 – 9 kilograms (11 – 20 lb) in weight and around 95 cm (3.12 ft) in length.
The longest species of eagle is the Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi). It has about 100 cm (3.28 ft) in length and about 5 kg (11 lb) in weight.
