The largest scorpion in the world is Hadogenes troglodytes. It has the longest recorded body length of any scorpion, reaching up to 20 cm (8 in).

Probably similar size has the emperor scorpion (Pandinus imperator). It has 20 – 23 cm (7 – 9 in) in length and it lives in African rainforest and savanna.
