The fastest-moving reptile in the world

The fastest reptile on the Earth is the leatherback sea turtle (Dermochelys coriacea). It usually swims at 1.1–6.3 mph.

The 1992 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records lists the leatherback turtle moving at 35.28 kph (21.92 mph) in the water. The leatherback sea turtle is the largest species of turtles in the world.
