The highest flying species of bird in the world is the Rüppell’s vulture (Gyps rueppellii). It can fly at an altitude of 11,300 m (37,000 ft) above sea level.

The Rüppell’s Vulture could fly over the Himalayas. Also the bar-headed goose (Anser indicus) is the one of the world’s highest-flying birds.
