The heaviest snake on Earth is the green anaconda (Eunectes). It has around 9 m (29.52 ft) in length and 250 kg (551.15 lb) in weight.

The name Eunectes is derived from the Greek word, which means “good swimmer”. The longest officially confirmed recorded anaconda was 521 cm (17 ft) in length, but it was „only” 97.5 kg (215 lb) in weight.
