Basset Hound has the longest ears of all dogs in the world. Basset ears measure between 7 and 10 inches long (18 – 25 cm).

Basset Hounds have large pendulous ears (known as “leathers”). Regular cleaning of the inside and outside of the ears, including the removal of excess ear wax, is necessary to prevent infections in these dogs.
