The smallest species of bear is the sun bear (Helarctos malayanus). It has 120 – 150 cm (3,9 – 4,9 ft) in length and around 60 kg (132 lb) in weight. We can find it in the tropical rainforest Southeast Asia.

The sun bear is also known as the „honey bear” because it likes to eat honey and honeycombs. The sun bear has also characteristic chest marking varying from white to yellow or orange.
