Probably the biggest flying animal that ever existed was pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus. It had 10 – 12 m (33 – 40 ft) wingspan and 46 – 250 kg (151 – 820 ft) in weight.

This huge pterosaur lived in Late Cretaceous in North America. It was one of the largest known flying animals of all time.
