The longest venomous snake in the world

The longest contemporary venomous snake is the king cobra (Ophiophagus hannah). The king cobra averages at 3 to 4 m (9.8 to 13.1 ft) in length and 6 kg (13 lb) in weight.

The longest known king cobra was kept captive at the London Zoo. It grew to about 5.7 m (18.8 ft) and was around 9 kg (19.84 lb) in weight.
